mobileCALC provides a fully customizable calculator, operating in both algebraic and RPN modes. It is designed to function on any PalmOS device running OS 2 through 5. mobileCALC can provide unlimited conversion factors, constants, user programs etc., and the key layout can be tailored by the user to fit the users specific requirements.
1 Calculation mode
- The default calculation mode is RPN, but you can switch to algebraic mode if you prefer.
2 Display mode
- Standard Fix/Sci/Eng modes.
- Fractional display.
- Alternate base units, Binary/Octal/Hex.
- Hex mode displays a set of hex character buttons for digit entry.
- Quickly convert from one base to another.
3 Conversion factors, Constants
- Hundreds of conversions are possible with the included conversion factor database.
- You can add your own conversion factors, and create your own database that can be shared with other mobileCALC users.
- Several constants are provided, and you can add your own.
4 User programs
- Several sample programs are included.
- You can create any number of custom programs, and share them with other mobileCALC users.
- Full-screen list view editing of programs.
- Programs can be created using a 'recording' mode.
- Programs can be assigned to buttons, as the operation or fn-operation. The button will display a custom label.
5 Financial calculations
- Calculate annuities, compound interest, mortgage payments, depreciation, etc.
- A financial button group is provided.
- A multi-tabbed screen is provided to summarize financial calculation results.
6 Statistics
- A statistics button group is provided.
- A multi-tabbed screen is provided to summarize statistics calculation results.
7 Storage registers
- The stack size is adjustable.
- You can view the entire stack, and recall stack entries directly.
- 20 registers are provided for Mem/Rcl.
- Memory registers support math upon store or recall.
8 History list
- Retains a record of past calculations.
- You can recall an entered or calculated value.
9 Custom key layouts
- High-res, widescreen/tallscreen is supported.
- Keys operations and functions can be moved almost anywhere on the screen.
- You can drag/drop keys from one position to another.
- Default key groups include Trig / Program / Financial / Statistics / Hex.
- You can create your own custom key groups.
- You can have multiple instances of the same function.
10 Keypad support
- Keypad equipped devices (Treo, TungstenTC) allow you to enter digits directly with the keypad, instead of tapping on the screen.
