Описание программы CoolTicker

CoolTicker is a developed as a generic on-screen informations displayer, generic means that it can display virtually anykind of messages.

Whenever you are a single personnal user or professionnal networked one, CoolTicker can do something for you.

CoolTicker messages are called Tickers and are displayed inside 4 different display interfaces called Boards.

Each Board display Tickers in a different way, some Boards better fit some kind of informations.

Because CoolTicker's first goal is to never disturb user, a Ticker can be displayed, updated, or deleted without user's intervention. You can continue working on your application without loosing keyboard or window focus (no annoying popup dialogs or button clicks).
Users can send tickers to other CoolTickers and use the address book to manage single names or groups thru a simple interface. There is also a command-line version of the Send Ticker function for using in batch mode.

Any application can connect to CoolTicker using TCP-IP (DDE and Mapped Memory Files are planned if enought requests) or the command-line version of Send Ticker function.
Whenever CoolTicker can receive Tickers from external applications, it is also able to connect to external sources and retrieve Tickers thru Channel Manager.

Channel Manager can retrieve Tickers from text files, web pages, ftp, e-mail account, that are compatible (or not) with very simple CoolTicker text structure.
