Crystal Modeler is a useful application that allows you to create stereographic models from ball-shaped objects. This application can be effectively used as a tutorial while learning modeling via computer or in other fields where fast creation of such models and the use of its graphic presentation are required. Reductive application interface provides ease not only in mastering of basic creating operations, but also in common principles of working with modern software giving the opportunity to learn more complex applications.
There are only two basic concepts in model design: atom and polygon (containing atoms). Such approach expedites and simplifies application learning and does not restrict the capability of placing the model elements into space. There is an opportunity to set space allocation as well as color adjustment (gradient blend particularly). Also user can choose a view (material) of atoms. The model can be seen in animation mode as well as from any point in space.
