ID Commander performs the same function as a standard caller ID module, but with more capabilities. For ID Commander to work, you need a modem that supports caller ID and a subscription to the caller ID service from your phone company.
ID Commander will log calls including date, time, number and name, if available. The name sent by the phone company is only 15 characters long.
To make the log more readable, you can add a number to the caller database and specify a more appropriate description for the caller such as a nickname, etc. Also, you may specify a WAV file to be played when a call is received from a specific number, thus revealing the identity of a caller without the need to look at the computer monitor.

· Improved installer with support for multiple users in XP. Unfortunately, this creates a much larger installation file. Added a right-click menu when minimized in the taskbar that allows the user to easily disable the call popup dialog box. Also, a single-click to the taskbar icon will restore ID Commander (previously a double-click was needed). The options and behavior of ID Commander have also been simplified.
