PTTL (Plain Text To Link) is a Firefox extension that will allow you to highlight plain text in a web page and handle it with a right click. The available functions are:
· If the plain text is a link, PTTL opens it in the same window, in a new one or in a new tab. Alternatively you can bookmark it.
· If the plain text is an email address, PTTL permits you to send an email to it with your email client.
· If the plain text is a english word or phrase, PTTL sends it to Babelfish for a quick traduction in your language.
· If the plain text is a word, PTTL permits you to search it in Google Groups.
· Send selected text to a file for later viewing or add it to a previously created PTTL file. In this way you can archive important text collected in internet without everytime save a web page.
· You can open all the links that are written in the way h**p://www.example.com where in spite of * you can use more or less any other character.
· You can specify a default open action and a default save directory in the PTTL options menu and use the 'Open with PTTL' and 'Save with PTTL' functions in a more convenient way.
· You can select the default save file format (.txt, .doc, .nfo, ...) and, through the keyboard shortcuts, open link and save files it's quicker.
