jTSlideshow is a free and useful multimedia program for the rest of us. Its simple format will allow anyone to create a multimedia presentation perfect for postcards, fan music videos, and possibly even business presentations. The program consists of an mp3 player, a java slideshow for gif or jpeg images, and a timer that uses the mp3 player's timing data to synchronize the images in the slideshow.
There are two different formats available. The first (".jts") is a jar file containing the images, an mp3 file, and text files of timing data. This format requires the viewer to have the jTSlideshow player. The second format (".jts.jar") includes a stripped-down slideshow player along with the above, so the viewer doesn't need to download any software. The current prototype is only 100k, so it is negligible compared to the average mp3 player.
